So I decided to create an interactive video enviroment for my jobs website (www.bbc.co.uk/switch) as we have a very dry flash player (which I also built over 11 painful months) and I wanted to find a way of making watching videos more exciting to watch on Switch. Taking reference and inspiration from Youtube Warp Speed and The project Adobe have been working on, I produced this as a start. This uses the cannon code from before to create a dynamic channel selection system. Thats all it is so far but i’ll be developing this over the next few weeks until you can see video data for every video in the channels and hopefully enjoy a more interactive experience. Today I added The art style I wanted to achieve from the cannon and a rotation dependent on the angle of the shot. Now I have all the features I want from the cannon, I’m going to start developing a function for this design with several ideas and bounce them around. Check it out below.
